The Chamber annual banquet is hosted at the Doyle Convention Center in Texas City. The 2021 theme was “Adventure Awaits” and amidst iconic images of faraway lands and traveling machines, guests were transported and inspired for the coming year.

The Board of Directors and staff of the Texas City–La Marque Chamber invite all members and community partners to celebrate the adventure-filled night with colleagues and friends, delicious food and drinks, festive entertainment and prestigious awards.

At this year's event, the outgoing Chair of the Board, Rusty Plackemeier with Lyons & Plackemeier, passed the gavel to the 2021 Chair, Georgia Meyer Barzilay of Karat Creations Jewelry.

The banquet program includes the installation of new Chamber officers and directors, as well as naming the Outstanding Citizen of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Large Business of the Year and the Jimmy Hayley Community Service Award winners.

Chamber members are invited to participate in the nomination process for these four major awards presented at the banquet each year:

Outstanding Citizen Award - To honor a citizen for significant accomplishments and community impact over the past 12 months.

Jimmy Hayley Community Service Award- To honor a citizen who has  demonstrated an unselfish commitment to the community over a period of several years.

Small Business of the Year- A locally-owned business with less than 100 employees that has experienced growth, demonstrated community involvement and service and had other special accomplishments.

Large Business of the Year- A locally owned business with 100+ employees that has experienced growth, demonstrated community involvement and service and had other special accomplishments.
